Slow Design Thinking means:
(1) Think and Savvy about all the WHY's!
Design Thinkers need to have a deep knowledge about all the reasoning of the process itself to be able to "personalize" the approach in each Design Innovation Challenge! True Design Thinkers do not apply the same set of tools and models to all the different problems, they Know how to CREATE the needed tools!
(2) Master and Expertise about all the HOW's!
Design Thinkers need to master the Design system to be able to define "adaptable and parametrize" processes! True Design Thinkers do not replicate all the time only one type of process, stages and work flow!
(3) Prowess and Shrewd about all the WHAT's!
Design Thinkers need to be strategic and have the guts to set new business or life standards and solutions more then just products or services! True Design Thinkers have deep meaning and high purpose mindset in their work! They are not happy only with "one more product" results...

Can innovation be a simple mathematical formula?

“Creativity based Innovation” pushes and stimulates our mathematical brain. All along the innovation process, we need to work ideas as numbers by adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing them into stages of divergence, convergence, selection and filtering, clustering and final decision making. As in “Maths”, sometimes two opposite ideas - when added together - become a disruptive concept. Our creative “brain” is prepared and able to find simple solutions to difficult “equations”. This is the reason why also in our day-to-day lives “mathematics” can help us to “simplify complexity”. “Creativity isn’t just the things we choose to put in, it’s also the things we choose to leave out.” (Austin Kleon, 2012) This simple statement can be interpreted as follows: Putting something in = adding; leaving something out =subtracting. For those managers that still didn't got it!.. There is no greater inhibitor of the growth of organisations than managers who use over and over again the phrase "here all co-workers are the same" ! These people are managers of companies whose growth depends on people or robots? Yes ... if the basis of the business is Robots or automatisms then they create organisations "where all are equal" ...
